Shaft couplings with the elastic element STARFLEX and SPRFLEX

Hřídelové spojky STARFLEX
Shaft couplings STARFLEX provide excellent vibration damping and transmit more than double the torque of older jaw couplings.

There are four types of polyurethane elements with different hardness. The right element is selected according to the transmitted torque, misalignment, etc.

The hubs are normally made of lightweight aluminium in three types: Pilot bore products that allow free bore drilling, key/set screw types that enable high transmission torque, and clamp types that are easy to mount and remove.
Since you can combine different hubs, STARFLEX can be used in a wide range of applications – pumps, machine tools, hydraulic equipment, construction machines, compressors, generators, rail vehicles, injection moulding machines for plastics and many more.

Basic features of STARFLEX couplings:

  • High damping
  • High flexibility
  • High torque
  • Easy to mount and remove
  • Wide range of variations
  • The R, Y and G types have no backlash

Polyurethane element – spider

The characteristics of polyurethane element are a key feature of these couplings.
Each type has a different colour for easier orientation, different hardness of material and different fit tolerance (clearance or preload).
The elements can be ordered separately.
  • Red element R – tight fit (preloaded construction), hardness 97 JIS A, high torque. Suitable for servo motors, stepper motors, asynchronous motors.
  • Yellow element Y – tight fit (preloaded construction), models that have a Shore hardness of 90 JIS A and are equipped with a good balance of torque transmission performance, flexibility and responsiveness. Suitable for servo motors, stepper motors, asynchronous motors.
  • Blue element B – loose fit, high torque, flexible models that have a Shore hardness of 97 JIS A. Suitable for asynchronous motors.
  • Green element G – tight fit (preloaded), high speed, hardness 64 ShD. Suitable for servo motors.
Type ALS – hub made of light aluminium alloy
Type ALS-SGN – hub made of steel – for high speed (machine tools)

Shaft couplings SPRFLEX

Simplified version of the STARFLEX series.

The elastic element is made of synthetic rubber

  • AL – lightweight, hubs made of aluminium alloy
  • CL – for transmission of higher torque, hubs made of cast iron with stainless steel coating

The main advantage of SPRFLEX couplings is their very easy assembly.

Basic characteristics of SPRFLEX couplings:

  • Simple construction
  • Good price
  • Excellent vibration damping
  • Easy to assemble
  • Suitable for wide range of industrial applications

Type AL – aluminum alloy, CL – cast iron with stainless steel coating
