Profile rail guides
Linear guides with profile rails are designed for linear motion using a combination of rails and various types of carriages (blocks) with balls or rollers.
We offer an extensive product line of the highest quality to meet the needs of various industries.
Linear guides with profile rails are also available in anticorrosive or stainless-steel designs.
Linear guide preload
Preload is the force inside the carriage caused by the the size of the ball relative to the groove size. Preload is achived by using balls larger than the actual space between the carriage groove and the rail groove. Preload eliminates clearance between the carriage and the rail. It eliminates vibrations and the whole system is therefore stiffer. If there is a high rigidity requirement, or higher vibration, a carriage with higher preload is recommended. NSK offers heavy-duty H (Z3) preloaded carriages for exactly these scenarios.
Higher preload means higher friction between the ball and the groove, reducing its lifetime.
Ecological, economical and maintenance-free lubrication method.
Lubrication using special, highly porous material that is capillary-saturated with mineral oil.
IKO uses an original C-Lube solution where the lubricating element is integrated directly into the recirculation part. This means the rolling elements are in regular contact with the lubricating material, thereby releasing the lubricant directly to their surface. The balls of the linear guide pass through the tube made of the lubricated material in their path. In the roller linear guide the front part of the carriage, where there is contact with the rollers, is made of the lubricated material inside.
Lubrication oil is continuously supplied to the surface of rolling elements by surface tension between the capillaries of the lubricating element surface and rolling elements.
